It isn't easy being Crystal Renn


Told she was too heavy to be a straight-size model, she developed crippling eating and emotional disorders. Now that she's a successful plus-size model, people are sniping that she's too thin.
The 24-year-old supermodel admitted to New York magazine that she's down to a size "8 to 10".
In past months the 5'9 model has been working as a size 12.
The key has been exercise but like most weight issues, she says it's complicated.
"In the past, I avoided exercise because it brought back terrible feelings. I wasn't ready. And I was scared that maybe I was going to be addicted again. That's a fear that goes through your mind, whenever you're getting over an addiction or a disease like anorexia," she told New York.

Fue considerada hasta hace poco como una de las mejores modelos de tallas grandes, junto a otras maniquíes reconocidas de la talla de Barbara Brickner o Sophie Dahl. Sin embargo, en los últimos meses la 'top' estadounidense Crystal Renn ha sufrido un cambio de imagen espectacular, pasando de una talla 42 a una 36 gracias a mucho ejercicio y una dieta equilibrada.
